"Mover," by Detroit-based drummer and composer Jon Taylor, is a new suite for improvisers inspired by the rhythmic and sonic properties inherent in the movement arts. In order to convey a sense of motion and space, the score concurrently utilizes through-composed traditionally notated material with an original system of graphic notation that choreographs the pacing and energy of each individual improviser. By focusing the attention of each player on  bodily motion, the piece gives room for sensitive and dynamic group interplay within a larger scope of melodic progression. Featuring:
